I understand what point James is trying to make about the useless waste of time much of social media is. But I cant agree completely, there is a lot we can learn from others posts, in a similar way to reading a biography or studying history.
What is different is the types of posts we consume, there is a vast difference between scrolling through Facebook, Twitter and indeed micro.blog. Attention merchants make money from keeping you engaged and selling adverts to you, but that doesn’t mean there are not positive things to take away.
